It was a massive year for Joshua High School Cross Country, as the squad reached major milestones in the program's history!

Last week, nine runners raced at the State Meet, which is the most at one time at that level in JHS history. The boys’ team qualified, marking a first for the team. It was also the first time in 11 years that two individual girls earned spots at the State competition.

The boys’ team finished 15th, with Edward Hernandez as their top finisher, placing 64th. The boys' team consisted of Hernandez, Nathan Aguirre, Granger Quinn, Dom Gutierrez, Jaxson Kirchmann, Braeden Quinonez and Lane Sealy, with Angel Espejel and Peyton Ray as alternates.

In the girls’ race, Rhyan Dollar-Daugherty finished 45th, which is the best for a JHS girls' runner since 2016, and Lyndie Freeman took 62nd.

Congratulations to the team for its successful season!
